Getting involved at Saint Michael

Where are your gifts and interests best suited?

There are a variety of opportunities in which members and friends of Saint Michael can be involved through ministries. The following listing is not intended to be comprehensive, but highlights the range of possibilities for ministry and service. Think about where your gifts and interests are best suited.

bridge

Bridge

Join us on Mondays at 7 p.m. next door at Sunridge Village to play Bridge. No experience necessary – experienced players are welcome also.

OWLs

OWLs

Our Older, Wiser Lutherans (55+) meet the 2nd Monday of each month from September – May.

Most often we meet at Saint Michael for a light lunch and a program. Other times we’ll go to see an exhibit, etc. Whatever we do, it’s always a fun time and a great opportunity to get to know one another better. We hope you’ll join us.

Mission Endowment Fund

Mission Endowment Fund

The Saint Michael Lutheran Church Mission Endowment Fund was established by the Church Council in November 2009. The Fund is a vehicle through which congregational members or friends of the congregation may make gifts which perpetually honor, sustain and grow the mission of this congregation.
Annual proceeds may be disbursed to enhance and expand local community and congregational ministry and mission. All disbursements must comply with the distribution parameters documented in the resolution that was approved to create the Fund. Additional detail information is available by request from the church office, Pastor or any of the other committee members.
Fine Food and Fellowship

Fine Food and Fellowship

Approximately twice a year, members of Saint Michael are invited to sign up for Fine Food and Fellowship. Participants (singles and couples) are then organized into groups of approximately eight people which meet once a month at a restaurant of their choice. A great way to meet people.

Singles Sunday Brunch

Singles Sunday Brunch

Are you single, and would you like to join others for a Sunday Lunch? A group of us who are single, divorced or widowed meet the 2nd Sunday of the month for lunch and fellowship after the second service. Everyone is welcome. Come when you are able; the size of the group ranges from 3 or 4 to 12. Check the bulletin announcement page for the place. Hope to see you then.

Helping Hands

Helping Hands

As a way to create a welcoming atmosphere between worship services on Sunday mornings, members of Saint Michael provided snacks for our Fellowship Time.

We ask for volunteers to sponsor Sunday’s treats ($50 for a full sponsorship/$25 for a partial). A chart is posted on the bulletin board by the Flower Chart. Please complete the slip provided with date, name, phone number and money and leave it in the church office. An established group or team may also wish to sponsor a Sunday. The sponsors will be recognized each week in the church bulletin and with a sign on the treats table. If there is no sponsorship, a basket for free will be on the table. Please consider helping.

By doing any of the above, you are extending hospitality taught by our Lord. Our Fellowship Time is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people or to renew long-time friendships.

Mens Golf

Men’s Golf League

There is a very active men’s golf league that meets from late spring through August. They play Thursday evening at Stone Creek Golf Course.

Contact Kyle Eichhorn or the church office for more information.
