Barb Gierke

With more than 50 years of experience as a church musician, Barb serves as one of our regular organists and leads the congregation in liturgical worship and singing on average once a month. She also plays for funerals and other special services as she is available. Barb studied Music Education and Organ Performance at both Midland University and Iowa State University and completely a private study with Dr. Paul Manz. Barb has served as church organist for a wide variety of congregations and for many years, she was the staff accompanist at Fremont Public schools and accompanied performances at Nebraska Music Educators Conferences and All State Competitions. Barb is married to Tim, and enjoys time with her children and grandchildren.
