Joining Saint Michael

Join the Saint Michael Community

In a fast changing world of quick connections, a community of faith is like soil that provides stability and nourishment. There’s a sense of history that grounds us in grace that has been experienced over generations. So we invite you to “come and see” what God is doing among us. Everyone who walks through the doors is welcome, regardless of age, race, ability, gender, sexual orientation, political party, or nationality. We won’t always agree on things. We won’t always understand one another fully and we are far from perfect. Yet we strive to follow the command of Jesus;  to love one another because God has first loved us.

So check out this website. Watch a worship or teaching video. Come and worship in person and if you desire a deeper connection, we provide orientation sessions several times a year. Normally these are three weekly sessions that provide time for folks to get to know one another, learn about the life and ministry of Saint Michael, and briefly review some basic Lutheran teaching and concepts. Childcare can be provided although children are always welcome to attend.

New member sessions are normally held three times throughout the year. Call the church office (402-493-2871) or email smlc@saintmichaellutheran.org if you are interested in the next group or have any questions.

In the meantime, no one has to be an official member to worship, share in the sacrament or participate in any number of ministry activities. So jump right in! We look forward to getting to know you and hearing more about your story.
