Worship and Music
Worship
…is the beating heart of our faith community. Here the Holy Spirit gathers us in, feeds us with Word, Sacrament, and community, to then send us out into the world as the hands of feet of Jesus. Our worship is liturgical, inviting everyone’s participation in the forms and songs of the church. The strength we find in that tradition provides courage and hope for our daily lives. WE don’t make a distinction between “contemporary worship” and “traditional worship”. We simply worship, using the same order and forms at each of our three services.
Music
… is the breath that oxygenates the worshiping body. Voices young and old; instruments from organ and piano to recorders, bells, violins, banjos, guitars, flutes and drums; all contribute to our shared song. Virtually anyone can be a part of one of the many musical groups we have and if you would like to learn more, email our Director of Music at jodiehankins@saintmichaellutheran.org.
